Religious Education and Faith Formation

Office Phone: 508-359-6150

Saint Edward Parish is a thriving learning community. Our staff works together with over 100 parent and parish volunteers to provide religious education and sacramental preparation for nearly 1200 students in grades 1-10.

At Saint Edward Parish we celebrate the role that parents play as the primary educators of faith. Our programs are meant to support parents as they raise their children to be disciples of Christ. No program or curriculum can teach everything that needs to be taught. And no amount of in-class learning and discussion can replace the valuable lessons that are learned through prayer, participation in the Eucharist, service and family discernment and conversation.

One member of the Religious Education team coordinates each age level: elementary, middle school and high school. This structure makes it easy for parents and students to get the individual attention they need to make the most of their formal religious education and faith formation.

We also have a wonderful administrative assistant, Mrs. Maureen Lyons, who is in the office Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm and can answer many of your questions. She can be reached by phone at 508-359-6150 or by email at maureen.lyons@stedward-ma.org.
