In grades 1-5 we seek to provide students and parents with a rich foundation for learning and faith-building together. We use Blest are We: Faith & Word Edition. This series is a spiral thematic curriculum that presents important concepts through the Four Pillars of the Catechism: What Catholics Believe, How Catholics Worship, How Catholics Live, and How Catholics Pray. Each year, as the children's understanding and faith grow, topics are revisited and new elements are added to continue their faith development. With this approach, children learn all aspects of our Catholic faith at an age-appropriate level.
1st Grade: Parents home school their children and are aided in their mission with four visits to church. Please note that students need to complete both the 1st and 2nd grades of religious education to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Schedule
The following classes are held at St. Edward Church Parish Center:
2nd Grade: Mondays, 4:15-5:15pm (1 hour) Schedule
3rd Grade: Tuesdays, 5:00-5:45pm (45 minutes) Schedule
4th Grade: Tuesdays, 3:45-4:30pm (45 minutes) Schedule
5th Grade: Thursdays, 3:45-4:45pm (1 hour) Schedule
